The MECC is the joint conference of the national clay groups of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Croatia.

The plan of joint meetings of the Mid-European clay groups was decided during the EUROCLAY Meeting in Krakow, Poland in 1999, and supported by the European Clay Groups Association (ECGA). The aim of meetings is to promote co-operation and exchange of ideas among specialists of neighbouring countries. Participants from other countries of Europe and from other continents are welcome.
